University Army ROTC made to wear red high heels to “raise awareness” about rape

The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a college-based program for training commissioned officers of the United States Armed Forces.

Two days ago, an Arizona State University ROTC cadet posted this on the U.S. Army sub-page of the popular Reddit.com website:

Reddit ROTC red heelsThe message claims that “tomorrow morning” (April 21, 2015), the poster’s “entire ROTC battalion” will be forced to “walk a mile” dressed in ACU (Army combat uniform) and red high heels “to promote awareness for sexual abuse on campus.”

Juan Leon of IJReview followed up the Reddit message with tweets by Temple University’s Army ROTC of male cadets wearing red high heels:

I conducted a search for “walk a mile in her shoes” on the official homepage of the United States Army and found these:

1. On Sept. 22, 2012, on the U.S. military base Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany, 200 soldiers wore red high heels in an international men’s march against domestic violence and sexual assault known locally as “Dudes in Heels.” The event in 2012 was the second annual Army Community Service Family Advocacy Program sponsored event.

2. On April 26, 2014, soldiers U.S. Army Alaska’s SHARP team participated as volunteers in a “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event in Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska.

While the participation of U.S. soldiers in the 2012 and 2014 “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” marches appeared to be voluntary, Douglas Ernst of The Washington Times points out that ROTC cadets are being forced to participate:

Army ROTC cadets are complaining on message boards that they were pressured to walk in high heels on Monday [April 21, 2015] for an Arizona State University [ASU] campus event designed to raise awareness of sexual violence against women” and that although “The Army openly encouraged participating in April’s ‘Walk A Mile in Her Shoes’ events in 2014,” the event was “mandatory” for ROTC candidates at ASU.

Is it any wonder why the U.S. Army is plagued with low morale.

  1. This is one Hell of a ways from my ROTC days in 1960, etc. All this will demonstrate is that high heels are stupid, and no one should wear them under any circumstances. More Bizarro New World Disorder BS, IMO.

I saw this on Moonbattery an hour ago and have since that time been trying to cool my blood down! Just who does our frickin government – full of liars and thieves and lowlife – think they are to teach anyone anything about morals!

    • Yes, exactly, LadyRaven, exactly!

In a personal email to me several years ago, Lew Rockwell told me that much of our Presidential history could be written as a series of the old B&W FBI Most Wanted posters we saw in Post Offices. I concur in spades, and that includes our present one!

    Obama’s debasement of the once mighty U.S. military continues . . . .

Put simply, there is no need to have our male soldiers and ROTC cadets wear red high heels to “raise awareness” about the sexual abuse of women. How many women do you know actually wear high heels these days? I don’t.

But if the goal is to debase and feminize men, that’ll do it.

  12. High heels and ill fitting shoes cause bunions and often require surgery. High heels do not represent women nor do any shoes. This racist statement against women doesn’t do any justification for ladies and why red? Red is for whores (red light district) who invite rape. Humiliating them for someone elses’ wrong is definitely a bad way to encourage anything.

  13. this is just another example of men being emasculated in this country… my late husband was a proud Air Force vet, my late father in law was a proud Air Force vet, & my late father proudly served his country during WW2…they Must be rolling with heartache in their respective graves 💔😭!!!.. my brother in law is a proudly retired Air Force vet turned police officer, & my oldest brother proudly served in Vietnam for the Army…
am I crazy in thinking that making these most courageous of men wear ruby slippers will honestly stop even 1 rape?!?..this is just 1of the most insane things that’s gone on under our homosexual “president”..as head of the armed forces, did Barry wear them, too?? he couldn’t have borrowed Michael’s, ‘cuz they’d be a few sizes too big…just sayin.

    • Our military and nation is being turned into a great object of mocking laughter. The enemies are attempting to make us unwilling to fight for what must be defended while they are encouraged and permitted to invade and battle us with jihad, “in goods and person.” Some of the goods being used are our very own, taken from us one way or another.

Enjoy the options a major enemy is planning: dhimmitude, followed by eventual beheading, immediate beheading, or conversion to a way of life pleasing to those opposing Judeo-Christian values. Our values created the greatest nation in history. If you are not bitterly cursed by all your descendants, it will be because they have been reduced to an unimaginable level of stupidity and lack of concern for their condition.

  15. Another way to view this situation… who FORCES the females to wear uncomfortable shoes? Themselves. Ladies, are you THAT WEAK that you allow “fashion” to dictate the clothing your wear? There is ample evidence that proves to me the typical USA female is emotion driven and lacking in rational and logical thinking abilities.

Slaves to corporate dictates disseminated via advertising and by the females cohort who cluck among themselves reinforcing the indoctrination implanted within the female minds by entities that have much control over the female cohort.
