Al Qaeda calls for car bomb attacks in U.S. cities

John Soderman reports for San Diego’s KUSI News 9, May 7, 2014:

In a recent issue of Inspire Magazine, regarded as the Vanity Fair of Al Qaeda, Al Qaeda calls for Jihad car bomb attacks on certain American cities – including Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York and northern Virginia where the CIA is headquartered. Ron Bee is a former State Department and Pentagon employee and was asked what would happen if a car bomb were to go off at a major American shopping mall, and what would be the impact on the American economy?

“People would stay home, they wouldn’t go to the malls. They’d go home to wait to hear that (all was OK)… we all know what happened after 9/11: everybody stayed home. They didn’t go shopping. They didn’t fly. The airlines went under, so it could have a major impact.”

The article makes reference to Fiesal Shahzads, the Times Square bomber whose bomb was discovered and subsequently diffused. Al Qaeda says:

“Many Fiesal Shahzads are residing inside America and all they need is the knowledge of how to make car bombs… and the good news is it can be prepared in a home kitchen.”

“That’s true. A lot of things are on the internet and the folks in Boston learn how to make their bombs off the internet and in magazines like Inspire, which is the same magazine that’s advertising home-grown terrorism here in the United States. So, it’s possibly to do, but at the same time, we have a very diligent Home Land Security squad FBI that’s keeping track.”

Al Qaeda makes requests: “the important thing is that you target people and not buildings.”

“That’s what terrorists do: terrorists have a political cause and they kill innocent people. That’s Al Qaeda. So of course that’s what they’re going to say, and it also gets our attention when it’s a bombing that kills innocent people because they usually have nothing to do with any political cause.”

Al Qaeda continues: “the American government was unable to protect its citizens from pressure cooker bombs in backpacks. I wonder if they are able to stop car bombs.”

“We’ve always worried about this sort of attack, ever since coming to the United States, and now Al Qaeda is saying that home-grown terrorists should conduct those sorts of attacks. This is, I think, the response in the up-tick in attacks against Al Qaeda in places like Yemen, with drones in a variety of places around the world including Africa. We’re soon going to see some activity in Nigeria; the idea here is they’re trying to hit back at us in retaliation.”

But there are some who say Al Qaeda’s call for car bomb attacks in American cities is a sign of desperation – that the terrorist organization is on the ropes.

“You can read this a couple of ways,” said John Miller of NYPD Intelligence. “One way you can read Inspire Magazine is it is some kind of sign of failure, Al Qaeda central has diminished to the point that it has to put out this wide net and say ‘can anybody do anything? Because as an organization, we’re not effective that way.'”

The thought of car bomb attacks that happen in Iraq happening in America is truly disturbing. The hope is that those bombers will think twice before taking on America.

  1. There are 36 terrorist training camps in the U.S.. The Government knows about them. The FBI raided one of them and then was told to “stand down.” Guess who gave the order? Now, I don’t see where ALQaeda or any of the Islamic terror groups will have a problem using car bombs or any kind of bombs. We, also, need to remember that Obama said that if the winds should go in that direction that he will stand with Islam. He has Muslim Brotherhood in sensitive and powerful positions within the WH. The MB is a terrorist group and they are in OUR WH. Think about that. Nothing is being done about it. Nothing. It’s obvious that a lot of us are going to die and most will probably die at the hands of Obama’s private army of goons. Dems and Repubs need to join for the sake and life of our Republic and do something about Obama while we still have a Country.

It isn’t necessary to believe the FBI tolerates terrorist training camps in the USA to have problems with current policy admitting we are still at war with AQ and its allies. The FBI does have problems: the sheer number of hostile agents it knows about is more than an order of magnitude greater than it has assets to continuously monitor. But terrorist training camps are so high on the list of proscribed activities, none lasts very long.

An Islamist group that has brought Nigeria to near unity
in opposition to its government for not bringing it to heel
and not rescuing over 200 girl students kidnapped a few weeks ago
    announced yesterday

No matter who you are, we are going to attack you.
If you are not for us, you are against us.

It is this sort of thing that causes Islamists to become unpopular
even (or especially) among Moslems/in Moslem countries. Moslems
in the USA and Canada dread such attacks. Apart from the possibility
they might be victims directly (like Boco Haram in Nigeria – no one is safe),
there is the reaction that might be directed at them by the general population –
which is possibly far more likely to happen statistically.

I find the policy of this administration remarkable for its ability to rationalize
we can stop being at war with AQ on a unilateral basis. We didn’t start it.
We can’t end it in their minds. The best we can do is make it very dangerous
to be affiliated with them, and learn how to get along with Moslems who don’t like them (something we DID do in Iraq and Afghanistan) well enough to get useful information (and other kinds of help).

The long history of Islamic fundamentalist driven holy war is remarkable as much
for its defeat because of MOSLEM opposition as it is for its duration. El Cid stumbled
on to a Moslem alliance by accident, merely by acting according to his understanding of Christian humanity, but it ended up with Moslems in huge numbers riding to war at his side, ultimately driving those who insisted there could be no peace from Spain (although those who sided with the Christians could stay, and their progeny have legal rights because of their status). We should be trumpeting these stories to build popular support across all populations, not pretending we don’t know what AQ says.

  4. Reblogged this on My views on Obama and Islam and commented:
And the rhetoric goes on and the government does nothing about it. Pretty sad really. If they have tagged and located the “terrorist training camps” why are they still operating? And why don’t they pursue these “terrorists”?

  6. Thank you StMA for this important post. We live in such dangerous times, where cowardice and hatred are motivated by Satan. We truly need the assistance and protection of St. Michael the Archangel, your patron saint!
